What We Do

Communities Taking Back Their Rivers.

We are a citizen-funded group trying to make a difference, Want to find out more and help then contact us.

What We Do

It now seems a universal acceptance that Welsh Rivers are dying. For those who have lived on or near these iconic ecologies, the difference is stark from the 1970s and 1980s

Welsh Rivers Union is a small group of volunteers dedicated to making change actually happen.

We are a pressure/lobby group that will hold legislators (Welsh and National Government), Regulators (Natural Resources Wales and Environment Agency), proxy charities/NGO and of course polluters ( eg Water Co’s , agriculture) to account to get a step-change on the future health of Welsh Rivers and their biodiversity.

We will never accept funds from the Government or Regulators.

We want these important institutions to do their job, to be held accountable to deliver a future for Welsh rivers and future generations.

What We Do

We are a lobby and activist group that is fighting for the very future of Welsh rivers. We have species and biodiversity on the edge of extinction. We will hold to account the government (s), regulators, companies, e-NGO’s, and quangos who are not delivering timetabled solutions to return our catchments to a baseline of 1970.

We want legislators to legislate.

Regulators to regulate.

and polluters across all sectors to address their performance, face fines or ultimately close down if they cannot adapt.
